When you open Windows Explorer in Vista, it automatically opens to the Documents folder. This is ideal if you do the majority of your work in the Documents folder. If you don’t, you can easily change Windows Explorer to open in a different folder using the steps that are described below.
Click Start | All Programs | Accessories.
Right click Windows Explorer and click Properties.
Change the path in the Target field to point to the folder you want Windows Explorer to open to.
Click OK.
