This has been a problem for big images, but no more.

Backup your image & plugins etc. while watching TV in under 4 minutes
Flash (restore) a backup from TV or via PC in under 4 minutes
Note: about 10% of times backup fails (finishes too early), you can check progress by:
opening a window of your network & then go to your box's attached backup device or
refreshing backup location in an ftp browser to see backup in progress
(creates temporary swap & .img files then deletes them & creates 2 backup files: .nfi & .nfo)
If problem persists do a 30 seconds e2 reboot or restart box
Backup before system updates & every week or after changes
Copy/ftp to PC in case box crashes later
Keep backups of last 2 months on PC

INSTRUCTIONS:

* install NFIimageTools-2.0
in Files link at bottom of this post then rename a copy of it to 1.ipk & put it /root/tmp/, see picture below
(or ftp if can't see your satellite box in Windows network).
Then telnet command:
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/1.ipk
or simply install from TSpanel: Tunisiasat & search(green button) for ool

* install enigma2-plugin-extensions-dflash_12.2.7_all (in Files link at bottom of this post)
by renaming & telneting command as before :
opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/1.ipk

** Path fix **:
Default configuration is /media/hdd/backup but my hard attached disk is /media/usb/backup
If your disk path is different, it will give error saying not found, so:
** I EDIT dflash's main source file: plugin.py:
After installation in:
1- /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/dFlash/
I edit plugin.py (in notepad or any txt editor) by:
replacing 3 cases of hdd with usb (my path is /media/usb/backup but default is /media/hdd/backup)
2- delete plugin.pyo
3- restart enigma2 to compile a new plugin.pyo from our new plugin.py file

Or YOU CAN SIMPLY:

on first backup when it asks for route, just edit ../hdd/.. to ../usb/.. or whatever your path
REMOTE CONTROL KEYS: < deletes, keys 2,3,...,8,9 are a,..,z
Also: Left & right arrow keys (besides OK button)
or for permanent fix, do above step: ** EDITING plugin.py, instead of correcting the path each time you backup!

* Press Blue_Button(Configuring)
* set Flashtool option (top one) to recovery or nfiwrite, I prefer nfiwrite
* set Backuptool (2nd line) to mkfs.jffs2
* set Swapsize [ MB ] near bottom to: 0512

* Setup a swapfile in TSpanel (might be necessary!):

I prefer 512 size, 1024 is a bit laggy with some plugins.
This might not be necessary as dflash has swap built in but if not successful do this:
* set swapfile to 512 in TSpanels: tools2: swap manager
* set to Autostart
* ACTIVATE
AND set swapfile in Dflash: configs (blue button) to 0512 for Swapsize as explained before.

(point it where your backup was stored)

Leave auto swap size (0) to default
Then choose: Flash Image

Select which one, press OK or blue button, done!
Can change path by Yellow_button.
