Jurgen Klopp was furious after he was left floored by Kostas Tsimikas who clattered into the Liverpool boss before he was subbed off after suffering a serious injury in their clash against Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp fumed after he was clattered by Kostas Tsimikas which left the Liverpool boss on the ground in their battle against Arsenal.

The clash at Anfield on Saturday (December 23) has so far been an action-packed fixture between the Premier League's top two sides. The action peaked in the first half when Tsimikas was barged off the ball by Bukayo Saka which left the Greek international colliding with Klopp which left him floored.

The German immediately got up and fumed that the England international wasn't handed a booking while Tsimikas was left writhing in pain off the pitch.

The 27-year-old took a hard tumble and was forced off with Joe Gomez coming on to take his place leaving the Reds without a senior left-back in the squad with Andy Robertson still out with a shoulder injury.

Tsimikas was taken straight to hospital after it was determined that he had likely broken his collarbone in the incident.

Clips of the collision were immediately shared on social media with Liverpool fans devastated with yet another injury this season.

One fan on X (formerly Twitter) wrote: "MOST BIZARRE WAY TO GET INJURED. WHY ARE WE SO CURSED" while another simply commented: "What the hell". Liverpool could go top of the Premier League at Christmas with a win against Arsenal who've been in fine form this season and currently top the table.

It was an electric start to the game for Mikel Arteta's side who opened the scoring three minutes in as Gabriel Magalhaes headed in from a Martin Odegaard cross leaving Alisson Becker stranded.

It was the eighth time this season that Liverpool had gone a goal down but the home side fought back and levelled the scoring in the 29th minute through a tremendous goal from Mohamed Salah. The 31-year-old received a stunning pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold before jetting past Oleksandr Zinchenko and firing past David Raya who was beaten at his near post.
