Pub enthusiasts have been using Wetherspoons' iconic order-to-table feature for years, but one young woman got the shock of her life after making a public Facebook request for drinks

A woman was left deeply embarrassed after strangers ordered several odd drinks and food to her table in a Wetherspoons pub.

Northern Ireland resident Nicole Hamilton took a day trip to Liverpool to enjoy a change of scenery and decided to visit the local pub. She set up camp in the Captain Alexander, located on St James’ Street, and decided to reach out to her Facebook friends and ask for a few drinks.

However, the post seemed to get more attention than she had anticipated. The banker uploaded a selfie while sitting in the pub. Her hair was left lightly styled and she looked ready for a big night out.

Nicole captioned her photo with a request for her viewers. “On a day trip to Liverpool, would appreciate any pink gin with pure orange juice or vodka with blackcurrant cordial, shots, WKD or cocktails, thank you,” she wrote.

“Table 53, The captain Alexander, Liverpool. Have sent before and will continue to send!” she added. Friends and family were quick to fulfil her wishes and commented with screenshots of their gifts. One Facebook user uploaded a screenshot of a completed order sent to Nicole.

He had ordered from the app and showed off a page full of shots, including Corky’s blueberry schnapps. Another friend sent over a screenshot showing an order of Strikabomb, which had replaced the infamous Jagerbomb in Wetherspoons.

A few other friends and family members had sent screenshots without any context of what they had sent. Most the comments were left within an hour of Nicole posting her initial request. While many users responded to Nicole’s request, it appeared she had received more than she bargained for. She uploaded a photo of her table soon after her post.

On the pub table, several colourful shots and taller drinks littered her table. Followers could see two schnapps shots, a Strikabomb and a large glass of what appeared to be wine.

“Thank you so much! I could die off embarrassment as someone has also ordered me a portion of beans,” Nicole captioned the photo with several laughing emojis. Another photo shared by the author showed a small bowl of baked beans that had been sent alongside her array of drinks. Another friend asked Nicole whether she knew who sent the beans, to which she said no.

Nicole did not ask for the public to stop sending her food and drink, but her confession gained several social media likes.

What do you think of Wetherspoon’s? Let us know in the comments.
