Hello together,

sorry for writing in english, but I think no one of you would read my thread in the english/german section!
Maybe someone of you can translate the text to portuguese.
I don't know, if this is the right forum section!

I was wondering, if you can recieve signals from the closest american satellite Echostar 3/12 61,5° West.
Here in germany the last signal we can get is from Amazonas 61,0° West, but nothing from the USA.
You in portugal are much closer to the the USA than we are, so there might be a chance:
I would be very happy, if someone of you with a dish bigger than 1.4m could try to focus on 61,5° West and look for a signal.
Here you get the frequencies.

Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you all!

Here is the wrong place for this question

" if you can recieve signals from the closest american satellite
Echostar 3/12 61,5° West."

Receber os sinais do satélite mais proximo dos Estados Unidos echostar 61,5
na Europa

When one consults lyngsat.com one gets the frequencies
And if you consult lyngsat-maps.com you get the beam´s
It apears there is no beam toward Europa.

Não há feixe para a Europa

Hey,

thanks for replying and for writing in english/portugese.
I know that there is no beam, but some "weak" signals should come in to europe.

In brazil there is a german guy who can recieve all analog tv signals from Astra 1 19,2° East with a 8m dish.
He can also recieve some digital channels, but not many.
If you understand english, you can see the documentation on youtube. It is really interesting!
Part 1
Part 2

As far as I know, no one with a big dish has ever tried to get the 61,5° Echostar working in europe!
So you would be the first in europe and maybe it's not impossible.
