Castro Marim é uma vila portuguesa pertencente ao Distrito de Faro, região e subregião do Algarve, com cerca de 3 000 habitantes.
É sede de um município com 299,83 km² de área e 6 593 habitantes (2001), subdividido em 4 freguesias. O município é limitado a norte e oeste pelo município de Alcoutim, a leste pela Espanha, a sul por Vila Real de Santo António (território principal) e pelo Oceano Atlântico, a sudoeste pela freguesia de Vila Nova de Cacela (Vila Real de Santo António) e a oeste por Tavira.
Foi concedido foral ao concelho em 1277.
Foi sede da Ordem de Cristo entre 1319 e 1356, o único período em que esta ordem (criada a partir dos Templários portugueses) não esteve sediada em Tomar
