Navegação veloz e com estilo
Quando você abre o navegador, ele logo mostra o que é chamado de "Speed Dial" (discagem rápida). É uma página inicial que reúne todos os sites mais visitados por você, favoritos ou recentes. Parece bobagem, mas é realmente muito útil.
As abas do Opera são conhecidas pela sua flexibilidade. Isso porque, assim que você clica e arrasta a barra que separa a navegação das abas, é possível obter miniaturas das páginas que estão abertas. O visual é ótimo e facilita para aqueles que estão com muitas páginas abertas ao mesmo tempo.
Há duas maneiras de acessar as outras funções principais do programa (como email, widgets, favoritos, pesquisa etc.): por meio do grande "O" vermelho, localizado no canto superior esquerdo da tela, ou ao clicar no ícone de abertura de abas, na barra de baixo do navegador. E não se preocupe com os plugins de compatibilidade: a maioria já vem instalada, como o Flash Player.

Além de mais veloz, esta versão traz novidades. Assim como nas últimas de outros navegadores, o Opera complementa automaticamente o que você digitar na Barra de endereços com Históricos e Favoritos que você tenha. A busca dentro das páginas também foi aprimorada, de maneira que você filtre o que procura.
Se você usar o Opera com o Windows 7, percebe que o visual é feito para se adequar ao novo sistema operacional. Ou seja, a transparência toma conta do navegador do topo à parte mais baixa dele.
Outra boa notícia para os usuários do novo sistema da Microsoft é que, ao pousar o mouse sobre o Opera na Barra de tarefas, todas as abas abertas no programa aparecem ali, como se fosse a função nativa do Windows 7, de várias instâncias abertas.
Padrões avançados, suporte aprimorado
Desde as versões beta do Opera, era anunciadas grandes novidades em relação ao suporte para tecnologias avançadas, como HTML5 e WebM. Se depender do Opera, tais padrões não serão problema.

Mais pesquisa: o Opera conta com vários mecanismos de buscas para que você escolha o seu favorito. O Bing é a mais nova adição à lista. As buscas são aprimoradas com as sugestões, que complementam os resultados para direcionar você com precisão.
