What's new in the OE-A Build Environment 2.3?

• Open Embedded Core August 2014
• gcc 4.9.1
• openSSL
• Time Zone updates
• Many Linux tools and libs
• Update Openweb interface with support
• Now with Auto Timer Support
• Now with bouquet Editor Support
• Update openATV Skin div Screens Revision.
• E2 latest updates and fixed the last 2 weeks
• Plugins on Feed up to date
• CoolTV Guide 7.3
• DreamPlex 2.0
• LCD4Linux
• Fritzcall
• and much more.

This image is a 100% build from OpenATV source code.
You can safely use the online update function, I tricked the driver date 100 years in the future so the present (and working) drivers are not overwritten during update.
I added the secret-feed (softcams) and changed the default language to US. It's a 100% clean image !

Please note: The image is still under development, so don't expect everything to work.

Online updates are working !

Features:
source: 20140816
drivers: 20130607 (patched)
bootloader: ssl84d
size: 54.8Mb
skin: MetrixHD

Note1: You can get a MetrixWeather ID for your location here: MetrixWeather
Just edit the line 'config.plugins.MetrixWeather.woeid=640161' and remove all other config.plugins.MetrixWeather.x lines in your /etc/enigma2/settings file.
Before you start editing give a init 4 (enigma2 stops), edit above file and give a init 3 (enigma2 starts).

Note2: OpenATV uses a different remote keymap, you can change the mappings using: Menu - Setup - System - Button setup
KeyMapOpenATV40_zps2dee1e02.png

Note3: Online update and Plugin install will give some 'has no valid architecture, ignoring' warnings. This is not an image fault, it's the OpenATV feed which contains modules not suitable for the dm800hd.

Note4: Softcams are installable via 'blue button' - softcam - download softcams

Note5: The default location for CCcam.cfg is in /usr/keys/CCcam.cfg !

Note6: At the moment dropbear (ssh access) does not work !
This fixes it:

root@dm800:~# rm /dev/null
root@dm800:~# mknod /dev/null c 1 3
root@dm800:~# /etc/init.d/dropbear start
Starting Dropbear SSH server: dropbear.

Note7: Please don't ask questions about dvb/wifi usb devices in this thread, there are to many flavors. I can't support this.

Note8: Images are uploaded to Mega, if downloads don't work try another browser, Chrome works best.

Para quem problemas na actualizacao desta imagem aqui esta a solução.

Obrigado gjstroom.

Update problems with OpenATV are almost every time caused by a lack of free flash memory.
It's easy to fix with the following commands, which moves the complete Plugin directory (usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins) to your usb stick.

init 3
mv /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins /media/usb
ln -s /media/usb/Plugins /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins
init 4

After this, all your new installed PLugins are automatically installed on your usb stick.
Some exceptions will remain: for instance skins use their own sub directory in /usr/share/enigma2

If your box has problems mounting the usb stick to /media/usb, use the following commands:

Add the following line to the /etc/fstab file:

/dev/sdX1 /media/usb auto defaults 1 1

In my case /dev/sdb is my usb stick, /dev/sda is the hdd. Use 'cat /proc/partitions' to find out the correct device by looking at the size.
Replace X in above code with your device letter !

mkdir /media/usb
mount /media/usb

If Enigma2 is in a bootloop, often the laguage setting isn't set in the /etc/enigma2/settings file, you can verify if the line config.osd.language=en_US is present.
