Man Utd injury update ahead of Liverpool clash: One star is fit but another is a big doubt

JOSE MOURINHO expects Zlatan Ibrahimovic to be fit to face Liverpool but has major doubts over Marcus Rojo.

Manchester United welcome their fierce rivals to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon in a mouth-watering Premier League clash.

Ibrahimovic has missed United's last two games due to illness but Mourinho expects his star striker to return against Liverpool.

But the Special One has revealed that defender Rojo, who was injured during United's 4-0 FA Cup win over Reading at the weekend, could miss out.

Mourinho said: "Zlatan is ill so I think no problem, I think he will be fine.

"I don't know [if Rojo will be fit]. Marcos has a muscular problem, not big.

"I'm not saying he's not ready to play, I'm saying that I have my doubts."

United are currently on a nine-game winning run in all competitions.

They saw off West Ham 2-0 in their last Premier League match and are currently sixth in the table.

Liverpool make the short trip to Old Trafford looking to bounce back from their disappointing 2-2 draw with Sunderland last time out.
