Baby and aunt killed in horror car crash as mum fights for life in hospital

A SIX-MONTH-OLD baby and her aunt have been killed in a tragic car crash – as her mum clings to life in hospital.

Anna Williams, 22, and Millie Wyn Ginnever died after their car collided with a lorry in Gwynedd, north Wales.

They were travelling in a Ford Fiesta before the crash around 11.20am yesterday morning.

The driver has been named as Sioned Wyn Williams, believed to be Anna’s sister and Millie’s mother.

She is currently in hospital in a critical condition as specialist officers work to support the family, the Daily Post reports.

A dog travelling in the Fiesta is thought to have also been killed, while the lorry driver was not badly injured.

Councillor Gareth Thomas, who represents Penrhyndeudraeth, said: “Anna is from a close knit, popular and respected Penrhyn family and everyone in the village is shocked by what has happened.

“The deaths of a young woman and a baby is tragic.

“I am sure the community will rally round and support the family in the difficult days ahead as they try to come to terms with what has happened.”

A schoolfriend told the Daily Post Anna attended Liverpool John Moores University.

She also worked at Spooner’s Bar and Grill at Porthmadog, Gwynedd, which closed yesterday in tribute.

Anyone wth information should call the Roads Policing Unit on 101.
