Chelsea transfer news: Liverpool target Alisson is Maurizio Sarri's dream signing - expert

ALISSON is Maurizio Sarri's dream target ahead of taking charge at Chelsea.

Sarri is expected to be appointed by the Blues next week.

Antonio Conte has been clinging on to his job for months but looks to be heading out of Stamford Bridge in the next seven days.

Sarri looks certain to join from Napoli, and it's claimed he'd love to bring Serie A star Alisson with him.

Alisson has been linked with Liverpool this summer but Real Madrid look set to land the Roma star instead.

Italian football expert David Amoyal issued an update on the Brazilian goalkeeper on the Calcioland podcast this week.

He said: "We don't know with Courtois if he's going to stay.

"I think Alisson would have been the dream keeper for Sarri, but it looks pretty close he'll go to Real Madrid."

Transfer Window podcast expert Ian McGarry thinks Sarri will have no more than £60m to spend.

"He (Roman Abramovich) has informed the executives at Chelsea at the club and training ground who deal with transfers that the new manager will have between £50-£60m this summer to improve a team which finsished outside the top four," he said on this week's show.

"Antonio Conte hasn't even been paid off yet, which is the reason the appointment of a new coach has been held up.

"I'm told that will be resolved this week - allowing (Maurizio) Sarri to be appointed."
