Nav Sat Map Updates:
To begin with, I would like to mention that the files I installed in this guide have been downloaded from the GPS sub-soil. I will provide links to the files I downloaded at the end of this guide, however, depending on when you are reading this, there are probably newer versions of the available files.
These map updates take about an hour to install if you choose to install all of them. Due to the Peugeot 'ECO' mode, you will need to have the engine running to install the maps. You can drive the vehicle while the maps are installing. Although some features like volume control continue to work, access to the touch screen is very limited while the maps are being installed.
If you stop the engine while updating the maps. You will need to restart the installation process again using the instructions below the next time you turn on the engine (unless you turned the engine back on before ECO mode stopped the running process in the background). You will notice that no Maps that have ever been completely installed, will not have a tick put next to them automatically once they are already updated, and you will not have to install them again.
Preparing the USB Stick:
Insert a blank USB Stick (4GB or higher) into your computer and format it into FAT32.
I will not detail how to format the USB flash drive in FAT32. You can quickly figure out how to do this using Google, or a guide like this: [url = http://www.wikihow.com/Format-FAT32] http://www.wikihow.com/Format-FAT32 [/ url ]
For reference I used an 8GB Transcend USB3 flash drive. I have seen comments on forums that people tried and the process failed. They used a stick USB difference and it worked very well. If you experience problems during installation, try a different USB port before changing any other options.
Extract the files you downloaded and copy them to the root of the USB drive.
