Southampton Crown Court heard how the teenage girl felt "cornered and trapped" as the abuse began, with videos of the alleged incident soon being shared around branding the girl a "slag"

Two teenage boys were reportedly heard "laughing and filming" as they allegedly raped a "petrified" girl, a court has been told. It comes as the boys stand trial accused of carrying out the attack.

Southampton Crown Court is hearing the case, which involves three boys being held in connection with the rape of two girls in two separate incidents in the Hampshire town of Fordingbridge. Two of the defendants, now aged 15, are facing four counts of rape made by the plaintiff in the first alleged attack which happened in November of 2024.

The first defendant also faces two counts of rape, while the second defendant faces four counts of rape against the second alleged victim in another incident which happened in January 2025. A third boy, who was aged 13 at the time of the attacks, faces two counts of rape in the second incident by aiding and abetting the second defendant.

The first boy is also charged with taking indecent photos of the girl involved in the January incident. Prosecutor Jodie Mittel KC told the court the girl in the November incident, aged 15 at the time, had spoken with the first defendant for the first time when he sent her a friend invite on Snapchat, according to the Mirror.

Mittel added the girl then travelled from her home to visit him, spending some time chatting in the park. After some time, the pair went to an underpass where she agreed to perform sex acts on the boy, then aged 14, until they were interrupted by people passing by.

The court then heard that the girl had felt "nervous" but "comfortable" when alone with the boy as she had felt "some love" towards him. But the girl soon became "scared and anxious" when the second defendant, then 14, and another boy arrived, pressuring her to continue and filming her while they were "laughing".

The boys came up with the idea of a "threesome", leaving the girl feeling "disgusted". However, despite her concerns and anxiety, she went along with the plan as she felt it was "the three boys against just her".

Ms Mittel continued: "The word she used to describe how she was feeling was petrified; (she) says she did agree but only because she didn't know what would happen if she didn't say yes." The group returned to the same underpass where the girl felt "cornered and trapped" as the two defendants carried out the alleged rape, all while the second defendant supposedly filmed the incident.

The girl described feeling "numb", according to Ms Mittel, adding: "She says she was shaking and saying the boys were just laughing and recording what happened." The ordeal lasted approximately 90 minutes, with the prosecutor saying: "She was feeling sick, felt like she was about to pass out, the other boys were recording whilst she sat in silence trying her best not to cry."

Ms Mittel's argument ended by stating that videos of the incident were subsequently shared, leading to the girl receiving vile messages, labelling her a "slag". Ms Mittel continued: "Sadly, you might think, (the two boys) didn't seem to be very worried about what (the complainant) wanted or didn't want to do or what she might be feeling and, we say, they just wanted to use her for the sexual things they wanted to do."

The second plaintiff in the January incident, who was 14 at the time, told police that she had been with two friends before they went home. This left her with three other girls before the three defendants arrived, Ms Mittel said.

The second plaintiff explained that the first defendant threatened her with a knife and told her to leave her phone with an Airtag tracking device in a convenience store before making her walk to the recreation ground and a nearby field. Ms Mittel said that video footage recorded on the second defendant's phone showed the girl being raped by the first two defendants.

Ms Mittel said that CCTV footage did not show a knife and a witness had described the plaintiff saying that she needed to "ditch" her phone so her mother could not track her. The defendants deny the charges; the trial continues.
