LK Bennett to close website in days with at least 80% off everything in final sale
The fashion retailer collapsed into administration in January after shutting shops across the UK - the brand has since been sold but some stores were not included in the deal
A beloved UK fashion retailer has revealed its website will shut down within days, unveiling its "biggest offer ever" for shoppers to snap up final bargains. This follows the high street stalwart beginning to close stores earlier this year after falling into administration.
LK Bennett has confirmed the closure of its website while slashing prices by 80% across its range. The retailer has also revealed an online exclusive sale offering up to 90% off its premium dresses, footwear, and accessories, according to The Sun.
The company stated: "It's your final few days to shop the LKB website before it closes. Our biggest offer ever has arrived-enjoy at least 80% off everything, with up to 90% off online.
The retailer began the closure of its shops in January. The company, founded by Linda Bennett in London in 1990, collapsed in January, with John Noon and Mark Firmin of Alvarez & Marsal Europe LLP appointed as joint administrators later that month.
The brand has since been sold to US firm Gordon Brothers, but nine stand-alone stores and 13 concession stores, located across the UK, were not included in the deal. Last month they launched sales with up to 75% off, reports the Express.
As reported by The Herald at the time, the LK Bennett website stated: "The LK Bennett stores were not included in the transaction and continue to trade under the Administration. Online sales via the LK Bennett website continue for the foreseeable future."
On the sales, a spokesperson added: "There are some truly exceptional offers available across all categories. Everything has been reduced, including new season pieces.
"We anticipate strong demand and expect key styles to sell through quickly; we would like to thank our loyal customers for their support over the years and invite them to shop early to avoid disappointment."
LK Bennett is recognised as a high-end women's clothing brand, specialising in dresses, knitwear, luxury footwear such as boots, and handbags. The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is a fan of the brand, often opting for its pieces for royal engagements.
Last month, a statement on the website read: "The Company's affairs, business and property are being managed by the Joint Administrators, who act as agents of the Company and without personal liability.
