Six men aged 23 to 26 have been arrested after a man was shot near Manchester's Gay Village in what police described as a 'targeted and concerning incident' last night

Six men have been arrested following a shooting in Manchester city centre. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that officers rushed to Richmond Street, close to the city's Gay Village, at approximately 5am on Saturday, January 24, after receiving reports of a disturbance.

Six men, ranging in age from 23 to 26, were arrested on suspicion of affray and firearms offences and remain in police custody whilst enquiries continue, the Manchester Evening News reports.
