Putin mouthpiece tells Trump to look in mirror as Russian leader 'disappointed and upset with him'
Naughty Donald Trump has upset 'disappointed and upset' Vladimir Putin with his comments about Ukraine's chances of regaining its territory, a daft Kremlin mouthpiece has said
One of Vladimir Putin’s daftest cronies has told Donald Trump to give his head a wobble after the Orange Manbaby said Ukraine could take back its territory stolen by Russia.
It what was a surprise for many among Ukraine's allies, Trump said Ukraine can win back all territory it has lost to Russia. It was a big shift from his previous call on Kyiv to make concessions.
Trump wrote on social media: “I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form. With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option.”
He added: “I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!” Trump later said NATO countries should shoot down Russian aircraft if they enter their airspace.
The comments were questioned by Moscow and sent a number of Putin’s best bootlickers onto the airwaves to hit back at Trump and downplay the comments.
Vladimir Solovyov, an often embarrassing mouthpiece for the Kremlin, said on the radio show ‘Full Contact’ on Wednesday: “Trump didn’t say he is taking Ukraine’s side."
And channelling his inner irate primary school teacher, Solovyov said Trump may want to think about Putin being “very disappointed” by him. The cringe commentator made the comment as Trump also accused Russia of being a “paper tiger”.
Echoing the words of Mad Vlad’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, Solovyov said: “We are not a paper tiger, but a bear."
Silly Solovyov is among many supporters of Putin who are known for barmy statements. In the past, he has threatened the West with destruction, that the Ukrainian city of Odessa should have been blitzed with missiles during the visit of Boris Johnson and even suggested a radioactive tsunami should be unleashed on the UK.
And only last week, the barking poodle mocked Trump, calling him “Trumpkushka”, an apparent reference to the Russian slang term ‘babushka’, meaning grandmother.
Ukrainians have been cautious in their response to Trump, meanwhile, hoping that the president’s words would be backed up by concrete support for Ukraine in Washington, while others were wary about the American president’s unpredictability.
Volodymyr Cheslavskyi, a 48-year-old soldier recovering from a war wound, said he considered Trump to be more interested in making money than helping Ukraine, and kept people guessing about his true intentions with contradictory statements.
Mr Cheslavskyi said: “He can say different things each time – he supports Ukraine, or he does not support Ukraine."
But a senior Ukrainian legislator said Trump’s latest remarks were unexpected but important. Following Trump’s comments, US fighter jets scrambled to identify and intercept four Russian warplanes flying near Alaska on Wednesday.
It is the third time in about a month and the ninth time this year the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD) has reported such an incident involving Russian aircraft flying near Alaska.
