Two men were attacked with a makeshift flamethrower as a teenager wreaked havoc inside Royal Liverpool Hospital on Monday, January 22.

Patients were forced to flee as a video showed a 17-year-old boy aiming the weapon towards a man in the hospital waiting room before making his way to another, The Liverpool Echo reports.

The video shows the teenager behaving erratically before using an aerosol can and lighter as a makeshift flamethrower to carry out the attack, first running towards an unsuspecting man using his phone.

The boy then appeared to walk towards another man, using an aerosol can and lighter to ignite the flames for a second time. The flames were pointed towards the second man's face as he tried to duck to avoid them.

Police said the teenager was swiftly restrained by family members and no serious injury was caused. He was detained by security staff and assessed by mental health nurses before receiving further treatment.

The men affected declined to make a formal complaint regarding the incident, police said. A spokesperson for Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said: “We don’t condone acts of violence or aggression and the safety of our patients and colleagues is our priority.

"We have provided support to the patients involved in the incident and the matter has been referred to Merseyside Police.”

This comes after a woman furious at her husband's refusal for a divorce went to crazy lengths to get him out of her life for good – but her cunning plan completely backfired.

The Brazilian woman's murderous plot, in which she hoped to kill her husband, was one of "death by doing the deed" or "cunning cunnilingus" as it was dubbed by local media in her native country.
