We asked supercomputer where Brit Bigfoot is hiding as tracks found – one forest stands out

Bigfoot could be hiding in Britain after monster footprints were discovered along a coastal path in Torquay last weekend - we've asked artificial intelligence software where he's most likely to be hiding

Bigfoot could be in Britain after massive footprints bigger than a size 16 shoe were discovered along a coastal path in Torquay, Devon.

The walking group that came across them last Saturday (March 2) were left "completely stunned".

Science teacher Ziggy Austin, part of the group, said: "Either someone with big feet was strolling barefoot through the woods or they belong to something a bit more exciting - a potential Bigfoot."

With the hunt now on to find the beast that left the tracks, we decided to ask artificial intelligence software where the British Bigfoot is most likely to be hiding.

Google's Gemini highlighted two factors the British Bigfoot would consider when deciding where to call home - habitat (specifically "dense forests offering ample cover and seclusion") and "lower human population density".

The AI software came up with three locations:

The Scottish Highlands: "This vast mountainous region boasts extensive ancient forests and remote areas."
Cannock Chase: "Located in central England, this area has seen a significant number of reported Bigfoot sightings and is actively investigated by some cryptozoologists."
The Lake District: "This national park in northwest England is known for its rugged mountains, valleys, and dense forests."

Of these locations, Cannock Chase in Staffordshire stands out as having the most "anecdotal" Bigfoot reports according to Gemini. However, it added: "The number of sightings doesn't necessarily equate to the likelihood of Bigfoot existing there. Other factors like increased interest in the area and media attention might influence the number of reported sightings."

Gemini also managed to pinpoint locations in Devon where the beast that left the footprints last weekend might have made off to:

Dartmoor National Park: "Featuring open moorland, granite tors, and woodland, providing a home for birds like red grouse and curlews, as well as mammals like badgers and ponies."
Exmoor National Park: "Encompassing moorland, woodland, and coastal cliffs, supporting a range of species including red deer, otters, and various birdlife."
South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty: "Offering a combination of coastal areas, estuaries, and rolling hills, inhabited by diverse marine life, including seals and dolphins, alongside birds like peregrine falcons and buzzards."

Gemini did insist on telling us "Bigfoot is a legendary creature with no scientific evidence to support its existence" - clearly it hasn't seen the image of the footprint from last weekend...
