WW3 fears grow as North Korea orders new 'systems capable of delivering nuclear strikes'
North Korea's top weapons commission has 'explicitly ordered the planning, conduct and evaluation of tests to pave the way for the field deployment of weapon systems capable' of nuke strikes'
North Korea is ramping up its war efforts by making demands for a new system “capable of delivering nuclear strikes”.
According to Daily NK, Kim Jong-un's officials have demanded that the Missile General Bureau and the General Bureau of Equipment of the Ministry of Defense speed up work together to figure out how the can use tactical nukes “in the field”.
A source told the news outlet that the order was made on March 22, and could see the closed-off country pressing ahead with plans for increased unclear capabilities despite several United Nations resolutions prohibiting
The source said: “These orders from the Central Military Commission are aimed at deploying nuclear weapons in the field and strengthening their operational capability. Specifically, the commission explicitly ordered the planning, conduct and evaluation of tests to pave the way for the field deployment of weapon systems capable of delivering nuclear strikes.”
And it's not just nukes that Kim wants – it's several different kinds of weapons systems. “The Workers’ Party has announced that planning and conducting tests to assess the reliability and durability of the weapons to be deployed in the field are critical tasks, along with the simultaneous development of various types of warheads and launchers,” the source added.
North Korean leaders are hoping that the new systems and planning will allow the army to deliver orders “quickly and accurately” in all war-like circumstances, as well as making sure they can deploy killer nukes faster than ever before. According to NK, it is also hoped that the moves will give North Korea the “edge” during any future talks about nuclear weapons.
The news of more nukes for North Korea comes just days after the country tested new “hypersonic missiles”, which can even target the United States. Tests under despot Kim Jong-un's country have seen the "important" weapons developed with a range which could hit important reinforcement bases that aid South Korean military developments.
An expert has since warned the IRBMs, the new North Korean missile supposedly successfully tested on last week, have a range of 5,500 kilometres. According to Shin Jong-woo, a senior researcher at the Korea Defence and Security Forum, North Korea will aim to increase the range of their missiles.
He said: "It [appears] to be an attempt to increase the range to attack US military reinforcement bases, such as in Guam."
Testing on January 14 from North Korea prompted an official statement from South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff. They said: "It is suspected to be a test to improve the performance of the propulsion system of the hypersonic missile launched on Jan. 14."
It is believed a strict schedule for weapons testing in the dictatorship is underway, with North Korea aiming to continually advance its weapons system with newly developed solid-fuel engines. . . as well as nukes.
